Things Not To Say To A Cop
Prior to riding a desk and writing about guns, sale I was a cop. I worked for more than a decade in uniform patrol as a beat cop, supervisor and trainer. In that time, I saw and heard just about anything you can imagine.
One of the nicest groups of citizens I got to meet were armed citizens. Generally, people that carry guns are polite and friendly. Sometimes, however, a few of these friendly folks were a bit too eager to share their state of being armed with me.-[source]
The Best Felon Killing Home Defense Tool Ever Made
Countless hours have been spent arguing what makes the “best” home defense gun. The reality is there is not a single gun that meets the requirements of every person and household.
Frequently, viagra sale when talking about home defense guns, thumb the shotgun is brought up first. The shotgun can make a very good home defense weapon, but it does have limitations that should be carefully considered.
Power
Shotguns offer devastating stopping power. From a 12 gauge shell, a homeowner can put nine 00-buck (.33 caliber) pellets into an assailant with each pull of the trigger. While this is not guaranteed to stop a determined attacker, it is certainly an attention getter.
By comparison, a 9mm pistol fires a single .355 caliber bullet at typically slower velocities than the shotgun. You would have to pull the trigger nine times on a pistol to put the same kind of stopping power into an assailant as a single shotgun shell.-[source]
Sections 1501 and 1502 of HR3590 — which contain the so-called “individual mandate” — require Americans to buy government-approved insurance and give the government carte blanche to require that these policies contain requirements like Barack Obama’s oft-stated goal of computerizing medical records in a national database. (Indeed, store Fox News reported on March 26, 2010, that under the new federal health care law, our medical records will soon go online to be available to all doctors.)
This would make it impossible for Americans to keep private, medical information out of the government-controlled medical database that was created under Sec. 13001 of the stimulus bill. Once a person’s medical information has been put into the database, then the ATF and the FBI will be able to use it to deny law-abiding Americans their right to purchase firearms — just like the thousands of military veterans who have been denied their right to purchase firearms.-[source]
The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms will hold a special media event featuring the rolling “Guns Save Lives” billboard on Wednesday 3/30/11 at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of North Capitol Street and Louisana Avenue N.E. outside the Fox News DC Bureau and C-Span.
Appearing at the event will be CCRKBA Public Affairs Director John Snyder, rx CCRKBA Legislative Director Joe Waldron and Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) President Philip Van Cleave. They will be discussing the benefits of firearms ownership, shop and what gun prohibitionists are trying to hide with their current effort to scare the public into supporting additional restrictions on gun owners.
Anti-gun billionaire New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has teamed up with Mayors Against Illegal Guns to send a moving billboard truck around the country claiming that 34 Americans are “murdered with guns every day.” CCRKBA Chairman Alan M. Gottlieb said, “Bloomberg’s campaign tells less than half of a story, so we’re setting the record straight with the help of several outstanding Arizona gun rights activists.”-[source]
Recently, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) — who in the early 1990s was the House sponsor of the Brady Act and the federal “assault weapons” and “large” magazine ban of 1994-2004, and the ill-fated, everything-but-the-kitchen-sink “Brady II” bill — introduced S.436, the multi-faceted “Fix Gun Checks Act of 2011.” Its simplistic and misleading title aside, this bill dispels any doubt about the goal gun control supporters have had in mind ever since they began harping about “closing the gun show loophole” more than a decade ago.
Schumer’s “fix” bypasses the question of gun shows altogether. In fact, the term “gun show” appears nowhere in his bill. S. 436 proposes that virtually all private transfers, regardless of location, be subject to National Instant Criminal Background Check System checks. The exceptions would be extremely narrow; in many cases, even lending someone a firearm would be subject to federal regulation.-[source]
INVENTS NEW DEMON, viagra order SAYS CCRKBA
Brady Campaign President Paul Helmke has, malady perhaps inadvertently, revealed his intentions to push for an expanded ban on semiautomatic sport-utility rifles, and he invented a new demon in the process, proving he has no intention of finding common ground with gun owners, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.
Writing yesterday in his blog on the Opposing Views forum about his meeting with Obama administration officials last week, Helmke outlined his wish list, which includes “increasing the number and type of military-style weapons, including ‘assault clips,’ that should not be readily available to civilians…”
“So, this is Paul Helmke’s definition of a ‘new discussion’ that President Obama mentioned in his Op-Ed column two weeks ago,” observed CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Sounds like the same old rhetoric to us. Helmke wants to ban a larger number of commonly-owned firearms, and he has invented a new term to demonize a commonly-owned shooting accessory. Maybe that’s what Helmke thinks Obama meant.”-[source]
When a burly ex-convict forced his way into a posh Florida home last week, click he had no idea what awaited him — a 25-year-old beauty queen with a pink .38-caliber handgun.

South of El Paso, Texas, on Mexico’s side of the border, lies Juarez – the most dangerous city in the world. CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reports ATF Special Agent Rene Jaquez has been stationed there for the past year, trying to keep U.S. guns from being trafficked into Mexico.
“That’s what we do as an agency,” Jaquez said. “ATF’s primary mission is to make sure that we curtail gun trafficking.”
That’s why Jaquez tells CBS News he was so alarmed to hear his own agency may have done the opposite: encouraged U.S. gun dealers to sell to suspected traffickers for Mexico’s drug cartels. Apparently, ATF hoped that letting weapons “walk” onto the street – to see where they’d end up – would help them take down a cartel.
Jaquez is so opposed to the strategy, he’s speaking out. “You don’t let guns walk. I’ve never let a gun walk.”-[source]

JPFO today launches “The High Capacity Freedom Campaign”.
First, doctor some background to highlight the hypocrisy and stupidity of a high-capacity magazine ban.
Imagine you bought a Glock 17 9mm pistol a year ago. Your purchase was legal and included two 17-round magazines. Now along come Obama and other “common sense” gun-grabbers with a ban on “high capacity” magazines.
The result?
Based on the so-called “Assault Weapons” Ban of 1994, a federal mandate declares that after a certain date, the manufacture, sale, or re-sale of ammunition magazines that hold more than ten rounds is now illegal. Such manufacture, sale or re-sale will be a felony. This is how AWB1 (and high-cap ban) were enacted.
Of course, there will be the usual exceptions for law enforcement and military purposes. But Joe or Jane Citizen will find themselves felons for selling their 17-round mag. Depending on how effective the gun haters are, Joe and Jane may even become felons for not turning in or registering their magazines.
Next imagine that you, with your year-old Glock, are somehow found in possession of a 17-round magazine. When it comes to guns in this country, the government says we’re all guilty until proven innocent.-[source]
