 Police searched the Northern Virginia home of activist Adam Kokesh Tuesday evening and took him into custody on a charge of being in possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms while also having a gun
Kokesh, look a former Marine, information pills was held overnight at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, sildenafil charged with possession of schedule I or II drugs while in possession of a firearm.
U.S. Park Police Lt. Pamela Smith said her agency executed a search warrant at Kokesh’s home in Herndon about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, looking for a weapon. – in a video posted to YouTube on July 4 — Kokesh appears to load a shotgun in violation of D.C. gun laws.

 Law Enforcement Targets, physician Inc., this site a 21 year designer and full service provider of training targets for thousands of law enforcement agencies throughout the country, find including the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department, is now providing a line of “No More Hesitation” targets. What is so unusual about these targets? They are of a “pregnant woman threat,” “older man with shotgun,” “older man in home with shotgun,” “older woman with gun,” “young school aged girl,” “young mother on playground,” and “little boy with real gun.”
According to the the website these targets are “”designed to give officers the experience of dealing with deadly force shooting scenarios with subjects that are not the norm during training.” The targets are, “meant to help the transition for officers who are faced with these highly unusual targets for the first time.”
While I do recall live ranges using people that are non threatening in order to facilitate a reaction from trainees in which they might encounter innocent people while trying to locate criminals, this is a bit unsettling. Of course, yes there could be a mistake and as we are aware many people today are carrying concealed and you want to be ready to deal with law abiding citizens you might encounter that carry. I can see preparation for coming into a situation where there is a mass shooting and yet there might be civilians who are armed trying to stop the threat and police arrive on the scene. However, a little boy? or a young school aged girl? Additionally why label this line “No More Hesitation”? Is it to encourage shooting the person on the target? Furthermore, who is demanding these kinds of targets?-[source]
On May 15, the Senate rejected a bill to loosen firearm regulations on campsites and other lands managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) opposed the bill, claiming that allowing more guns would set “up a national security threat” that “endangers people.”
The bill, sponsored by by Senator Tom Corburn (R-OK), garnered 56 votes–just four shy of the 60 needed to pass.
It would have loosened firearms restrictions on “12 million acres that abound in lakes, rivers, campsites, and hiking trails.”
Currently, guns are allowed in these areas for hunting and target shooting, but the guns have to be unloaded while in transport to these activities. Corbun’s bill would have allowed guns on such lands for “any legal purpose.”
According to Fox News, Boxer said allowing more guns on Corps property “would increase danger to dams, flood control systems, and other crucial water projects.” She added, “This critical infrastructure is a target for terrorists,” and loosening firearm restrictions on it “sets up a national security threat.”
Corburn said he will keep reintroducing the bill until it passes. -[source]
 Houston burglars beat and locked a homeowner in a closet during a break-in. It was his gun closet. One burglar was seriously injured.

A shootout in the Sharpstown area sent at least one suspect to a hospital. Police say three men stormed the house and forced the homeowner into a closet, viagra but that’s where he gained the upper hand.
Inside a home on Braeburn Valley near Beechnut, help a high stakes drama played out. Police got a 911 call from the owner who said three men had broken into his house.

They didn’t look in the closet, because that’s where he keeps his guns. Police were told the homeowner thought the men had left after a few minutes. He went downstairs, armed just in case.

The homeowner wasn’t injured but one of the suspects was. Neighbor Craig Gaddis heard the gunfire and walked outside.
“I saw the burglar lying on the concrete and there was already somebody standing over him, just a random driver,” Gaddis said. “It looked like he had blood coming out of his neck and his leg. He was saying something — turn me over, it hurts, move me.”
His two companions got away. The wounded suspect is now hospitalized. There’ve been robberies and break-ins in the neighborhood recently, according to those who live here. This time, one was foiled.
“Guess what? The owner had a gun,” Gaddis said. “He did exactly what he was supposed to do — with the gun, that’s what they’re made for — protect his home.”-[source]
The grandson of a 98-year-old Michigan woman feared something was amiss when he saw while at his own home that the monitor, medicine which he used as a caregiver to stay in touch about her well-being, viagra was disconnected.

Thieves had entered forcibly through the backdoor of the Buena Vista Township home and taken the laptop and an ATV. The grandson contacted the police regarding the burglary.
But the story doesn’t end there. For safety reasons, the grandson stayed at his grandmother’s home overnight and even told the authorities earlier in the day that he had brought his gun for security, MLive reported. In the early morning hours, the grandson heard a scuffle outside the house and sounds of someone trying to force their way in.
MLive stated the the grandson saw a car in the driveway with a female in the passenger seat. He went outside to record the license plate number but then the person who he had heard trying to break into the house — possibly for the second time that day — returned to the car and proceeded to attempt to run over the grandson.
At this point, the grandson fired shots. He called for police just after 4 a.m. and reported the incident.
According to MLive, the perpetrators drove away but the man was hit with birdshot and drove to a local hospital. Police learned the suspect was on the run for violating parole.-[source]
 The US government has blocked a Texas-based company from distributing details online of how to make a plastic gun using a 3-D printer.
The ban, by the State Department citing international arms control law, comes just days after the world’s first such gun was successfully fired.
The action came too late to prevent widespread distribution of the files: Defense Distributed told Forbes that the files have already been downloaded more than 100,000 times in the two days since they were uploaded. The largest number of downloads initially were to addresses in Spain, followed by the US, Brazil, Germany and the UK.
Fifteen of the gun’s 16 pieces are constructed on the $8,000 Stratasys Dimension SST 3D printer, Forbes said. The final piece is a common nail, used as a firing pin, that can be found in a hardware store. – [ read more ]
 The Internal Revenue Service inappropriately flagged conservative political groups for additional reviews during the 2012 election to see if they were violating their tax-exempt status, a top IRS official said Friday.
Organizations were singled out because they included the words “tea party” or “patriot” in their applications for tax-exempt status, said Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups.
In some cases, groups were asked for their list of donors, which violates IRS policy in most cases, she said.
“That was wrong. That was absolutely incorrect, it was insensitive and it was inappropriate. That’s not how we go about selecting cases for further review,” Lerner said at a conference sponsored by the American Bar Association.

 The Government Accountability Office tells Whispers it is now investigating large ammunition purchases made by the Department of Homeland Security.
The congressional investigative agency is jumping into the fray just as legislation was introduced in both the Senate and the House to restrict the purchase of ammo by some government agencies (except the Department of Defense). The AMMO Act, approved introduced Friday, would prevent agencies from buying more ammunition if “stockpiles” are greater than what they were in previous administrations.
The Associated Press reported in February that DHS wanted to buy more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition, but DHS officials testified last week it was only planning to buy up to 750 million.
A man in Midland, adiposity Texas shot and killed an intruder who attempted to break into his residence on Tuesday night, viagra the Midland Reporter-Telegram reports. The intruder was armed with a baseball bat.
Police in Midland responded to the shooting at around midnight on Tuesday where they found 32-year-old Samuel Pompa with a shotgun wound to the chest. He was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to a press release from the city’s public information officer.
Police say Pompa tried to break into the residence of a 19-year-old who was living in a different unit but at the same address as him. It was likely an apartment complex, however, the reports did not confirm that.
The victim in the case told police that he used his shotgun to protect himself and others in his residence after Pompa tried to gain entry armed with a baseball bat. Police have not arrested anyone in connection with Pompa’s death.-[source]
