 The president of Clemson University is chastising those who booed President Barack Obama during the college’s Military Appreciation Day at last weekend’s game. During the university’s annual event that was held this year during the Clemson vs. Virginia Tech game on Saturday, a ceremony was held to induct ROTC cadets into the military. The ceremony was disrupted by booing from some fans in the stands. In an email with the subject line, “Dear Clemson Family: Focus on Positive Dialogue and a Civil Discourse,” Clemson University president James Barker addressed the behavior at the football game.
He wrote: “Saturday’s football game marked Clemson’s annual observance of Military Appreciation Day, a time when we pay tribute to veterans, men and women currently serving and those who gave their lives to protect us. Clemson has a strong military heritage, and this day is always a special occasion.
“Unfortunately, the day was marred by bad behavior from some fans. During the ceremony inducting ROTC cadets into the military, a number of fans booed during the section of the oath they take to obey the President of the United States.-[source]
 The oldest known survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp — a teacher who gave lessons in defiance of his native Poland’s Nazi occupiers — has died at the age of 108, viagra order an official said Monday.
Antoni Dobrowolski died Sunday in the northwestern Polish town of Debno, ask according to Jaroslaw Mensfelt, a spokesman at the Auschwitz-Birkenau state museum.
After invading Poland in 1939, sparking World War II, the Germans banned anything beyond four years of elementary education in a bid to crush Polish culture and the country’s intelligentsia. The Germans considered the Poles inferior beings, and the education policy was part of a plan to use Poles as a “slave race.”
An underground effort by Poles to continue to teach children immediately emerged, with those caught punished by being sent to concentration camps or prisons. Dobrowolski was among the Poles engaged in the underground effort, and he was arrested by the Gestapo and sent to Auschwitz in June 1942.

A 72-year-old Lakeland Village, ambulance Calif., man shot and killed an intruder, 51-year-old William Ragsdell, climbing through a window into his residence on October 5.
The homeowner, identified as Jerry Duncan, told a reporter during a phone interview, “He had a flashlight and I told him to get out.” When Ragsdell didn’t leave, Duncan fired his pistol once.
“I tried to scare him more than shoot him,” said Duncan. “He hollered. I thought he ran off. He was just gone out of the window. He made it about 15 feet. The police found him.”
Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Duncan’s residence in response to a 911 call at about 5 a.m. The call indicated that the resident shot someone breaking into his home. Deputies found Ragsdell with a single gunshot wound; he was declared dead at 6:15 a.m. at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar, Calif.
Duncan was interviewed at the police station, then released following the incident. Duncan said he was awakened by a loud noise and realized the power to his residence was out; it was later determined that the electrical lines had been cut by Ragsdell.-[source]

We’re all familiar with the old stereotype of a shotgun-toting father warily eying the man who’s enthusiastically eying his daughter. One father in Wyandotte, Michigan, became the envy of protective fathers everywhere when he got an opportunity to bring his shotgun to bear against a too-cool-for-school ex-boyfriend.
According to The News herald, a 17-year-old teen got into a confrontation with her 18-year-old ex-boyfriend out on the neighborhood streets. The girl had just broken up with the individual three days later and, evidently, he had something to say about it.
The girl phoned police and told them that her ex had been harassing her through texts and voice mails, but then the confrontation escalated. Things got physical and the man grabbed the girl’s keys so that she couldn’t leave the scene. The police were still on the way, but a young girl can always count on dear-old dad in times like these. The girl ran screaming to her father, who was asleep at home.
The father awoke and grabbed the only two things you need for a situation like this: a pair of pants and a shotgun. The 44-year-old father confronted the belligerent man on his front porch, where the boyfriend charged him (talk about dumb).-[source]

According to reports, 18-year-old Lorenzo Jones used a brick to break into his home. George, who asked that his last name be withheld, was asleep upstairs when he heard a noise. “I heard that,” George recalled. “I knew there was somebody in the house.”
George grabbed his .22-caliber pistol, which he kept loaded and on his nightstand, and went to confront the intruder. He told the robber, “I got a weapon. It’s loaded. I’m prepared to shoot, come out.” He then ordered Jones to put his hands on his knees – that’s kind of an odd thing for a gun owner to demand, but when a gun-wielding gun owner catches you in the middle of a robbery you don’t have much choice. Jones complied, and from there it was a waiting game until the police showed up.-[source]
A 12-year-old girl took matters into her own hands during a home invasion in southeast Oklahoma.
It happened on Wednesday when the girl was home alone. She told police a stranger rang the doorbell, then went around to the back door and kicked it in. She called her mom, Debra St. Clair, who told her to get the family gun, hide in a closet and call 911.
That was when St. Clair dropped what she was doing and raced home.
“I drove home at a really fast pace to try to get to her, and when I got here the police were already here. And they had the suspect,” she said.
During that time, the intruder made his way through the house. St. Clair’s daughter told deputies the man came into the room where she was hiding and began to open up the closet door. That was when the 12 year old had to make a life-saving decision.
“And what we understand right now, he was turning the doorknob when she fired through the door,” said the Bryan County Undersheriff Ken Golden.
The bullet hit the intruder, who deputies identified as 32-year-old Stacey Jones. He took off but did not get far before officers took him down.-[source]

“Governor Romney’s argument is, we’re not fixed, so fire him and put me in.
It is true we’re not fixed.
When President Obama looked into the eyes of that man who said in the debate, I had so much hope four years ago and I don’t now, I thought he was going to cry.

According to the Huffington Post, seek an unidentified Maine woman recently defended herself from her ex-boyfriend, there 33-year-old Christopher Rolling Fox, using nunchucks.
At approximately 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, Fox allegedly forcibly entered his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, apparently angry because he believed his ex-girlfriend was seeing another man.
When the woman answered the door to her apartment, she could tell Fox had been drinking and asked him to leave. This prompted Fox to push her backward, causing her to collide with the kitchen table. A physical confrontation ensued, during which Fox allegedly punched and kicked the woman several times, according to New York Daily News reports.
“The fight was so violent that the stove and refrigerator had been knocked out of place”, Winslow (Maine) Police Lt. Josh Veilleux told the Portland (Maine) Press Herald.
In response to the woman dialing 911, Fox allegedly took the phone from her and struck her with a pull-up bar that he pulled off the wall. The woman grabbed a set of nunchucks which hung on the wall as a decoration and was able to hit Fox several times with them, allowing her to break free and again call 911.-[source]
 A suspected terrorist parked a van packed with what he thought was a 1, page 000-pound bomb next to the Federal Reserve building in Lower Manhattan and tried to detonate it Wednesday morning before he was arrested in a terror sting operation, authorities said.
The suspect, 21-year-old Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, is a Bangladeshi national who came to the U.S. on a student visa in January for the specific purpose of launching a terror attack here, authorities said. He allegedly told an undercover agent last month that he hoped the attack would disrupt the presidential election, saying “You know what, this election might even stop,” according to the criminal complaint against him.
The complaint said Nafis wrote a statement claiming responsibility for what he thought would be the Fed attack, saying he wanted to “destroy America” by going after its economy. He referred to “our beloved Sheikh Osama bin Laden” in the statement, which was stored on a thumb drive.
He also proposed various other targets beyond the Fed building at 33 Liberty St., just blocks from the World Trade Center site, prosecutors said. He considered targeting a “high-ranking U.S. official” as well as the New York Stock Exchange.-[source]
